Meditation Styles at AlchemyCircle for Inner PeaceThis is an opportunity to look deeply into the Self and to come to know a greater Truth of who we are and how we operate in human terms on this Earth. What does it mean to be on the journey towards wholeness and freedom and how does this affect us in real terms in our everyday existence here on Earth? The Circle will begin with a short meditation followed by a sharing from Nicole of what this Journey towards Self Realisation means to her and how we may begin to uncover the Truth of who we are so we may move to a place of greater surrender. There will be an opportunity to discuss the many questions that arise from the experience of this profound journey. Gong MeditationThe Universe is powered by sound. The gong is the basic creative sound. Out of the gong comes all music, all sounds, and all words. The sound of the gong is the nucleus of the World. It allows moving beyond the boundaries of the mind and connects us to the Source creating a sense of oneness. The sound from the Gong creates deep relaxation, releasing us from our thoughts. The sound vibrates the energy meridians in the body and brings them into balance, reducing tension and releasing blocks. Kundalini energy, which begins at the base of the spine, is released, travelling up the spine through the body to align the Chakras, clean the Aura and release the subconscious mind. Kundalini MeditationThis Kundalini Yoga Meditation class begins with a light warm up Kriya to prepare us for a variety of deep Kundalini meditations as given by Yogi Bhajan. The class provides us with the opportunity to practice longer meditations than normally taught in a regular Kundalini yoga class and aims to improve mental concentration, sharpen awareness, break through negative patterns of behaviour giving us a direct experience of consciousness. Meditation with YogiMeditation is a way to experience a sense of timelessness while the body exists in the moment without aging, remaining stress-free, relaxed and renewed each day. Through meditation we begin to heal, and to experience our true nature. This class combines the various techniques of Tantra, Kundalini, Raja, Bhakti, and authentic meditation of the Vedas. This class is practised in three phases; sitting, lying and standing. Our meditation includes Pranayama which helps by controlling the breath in order to calm our mind, along with a tantric beej mantra that helps to open our chakras and energy centres of the body. Our mind becomes what we focus on, and we can experience the subtle nature of that thought. For example, if we focus on stillness our mind becomes still which can help someone who suffers from hyperactivity and lack of concentration. Through meditation, one can manifest joy, love, peace, compassion, forgiveness, satisfaction and wholeness, healing our relationships with both others and ourselves. The Science of Relaxation®The Science of Relaxation meditation has been kept secret for many years in India and is unknown here in the West. Over many years, Yogi Ashokananda developed and perfected this meditation with his teacher, Gurudev Dilipji, whilst in India. Science of Relaxation or SOR is a transformational meditation practice which allows you to bring together all aspects of yourself. It bridges the division between the higher and the very human self, healing any split between spiritual self and material personality. The result is greater inner harmony, optimism, the sense of openness and freedom and a feeling of being connected to yourself and others. On the physical level, the cardio vascular exercise takes you to a state of meditation and tranquillity. This is excellent for balancing blood pressure, for heart problems and excellent for insomnia; it affects the nervous system and is good also for depression. |
