February Climate
- 28th Jan 2010 - Posted by Zoe Hind
During the month of Aquarius, the ancients of the British Isles celebrated the festival of Imbolc:
the emerging snowdrop representing the new flame of life after winter's long, cold incubation.
Also known as the Quickening, the electric buzz of Aquarius, all the more noticeable after the serious and practical tones of Capricorn, raises the vibration and sparks begin to fly.
Innovation and inspiration are the trademarks of this sign and ruling planet Uranus is known to bring quirky and unexpected change.
Honouring both the old and the new in effortless fusion, Aquarius asks us to break free from our assumptions and imagine the impossible with childlike wonder and excitement.
Jupiter enters Pisces this month expanding our spiritual awareness for the whole year. A simpler and deeper period of healing and reflection glides in to soothe us and enlightenment will come through dreams, meditation and devotional practice.
Saturn turns retrograde with a settling effect crystallizing our plans and bringing sustainable progress until June.
Venus in Aquarius blends perfectly with the Leo Full Moon on 30th January.
The month peaks at the new moon on February 14th. This is a time to simply enjoy the magic and mystery of life itself.

Leo Full Moon
- 28th Jan 2010 - Posted by Zoe Hind
The Leo Full Moon brings with it a golden glow to melt away the winter frost.
As the days get longer and the sun's light returns, Leo's heat and playful energy can rejuvenate the soul.
Ruled by the Sun, Leo is the sign of confidence and creative expression.
The sun is at the centre of our galaxy and the solar chakra is the centre of our energy. Core strength and centering ourselves is paramount.
Allowing our inner power to radiate through singing, dancing and embracing our talents at the Full moon will let our light shine out and bring joy to ourselves and those around us.
Gratitude for all that we have, shown through acts of generosity to those less fortunate at this time, can bring warmth and love to the world as we head towards spring and a new cycle of life.

January Climate
- 28th Jan 2010 - Posted by Zoe Hind
January holds a host of aspects. Apart from the eclipse which signals the New Year like a midnight fireworks display, we also have Mercury, Mars and Saturn in backward motion.
Mercury has had some fun with our planes, trains and automobiles before Christmas but has also brought old friends back into our lives and always helps us to see things in a fresh light.
Mars may have been behind a few angry eruptions over the holidays but, in the big picture, will help us to realize when the ego is at work and alter our course to one driven by compassion and connection.
Saturn also turns retrograde mid month bringing us back to reality and signaling a time to make solid plans for 2010. As this coincides with an eclipse in Capricorn, your plans may be made for you or at least strongly hinted at. Waiting until 21st January would be best before committing to anything solid.
Jupiter moves into Pisces at around 19th and we should feel a subtle shift in vibration as the past year is brought to a close. Jupiter has been in Aquarius for 12 months and made major changes in our lives both internally and externally. Now it's Pisces time to shine.
The Leo full moon at the very end of the month is bold and bright and can be celebrated with fun, friendship and new creative endeavours.
Happy New Year!

Cancer Full Moon
- 1st Jan 2010 - Posted by Zoe Hind
The Full Moon in Cancer on 31st December is a partial eclipse and starts the year off on an emotional note.
We will all be more aware of the moon's tidal effect on our nature as feelings ebb and flow dramatically at this time. This can be unsettling, but whatever rises to the surface at the beginning of this month will be open to complete healing and resolution.- Tagged with : Astrology
December Climate
- 15th Dec 2009 - Posted by Zoe Hind
Early December sees Uranus return to full strength. Uranus rules Aquarius where a major alignment of the outer planets is building.
The month reaches a crescendo on 21 December when Jupiter will meet with Neptune and Chiron for the 3rd time this year. May 27th and July 10th were the previous dates but the latter fell close to an eclipse with the planets retrograde so the energy was confusing at that time.
Jupiter is the Planet of expansion, optimism, luck and abundance. Neptune represents our higher self and spiritual frequency. Chiron prompts us to search our souls. These three cosmic heavyweights align at the Winter Solstice when the sun is at the Galactic Centre and this is a precursor to the energy building towards 2012.
This is the most beneficial energy we have seen for many years and it is vital to harness its power and put it into action. Profound personal healing is available to those that seek it. We are being given the chance to reach a deep understanding of our spiritual nature and heal forever our deepest wounds.
Gratitude is the keystone to this evolutionary advancement, and as the winter sun grows stronger and the light slowly returns to the world, take time out to give thanks.
We can then greet our future with phenomenal strength, purpose and higher consciousness.

Gemini is ruled by Mercury - the Messenger of the Gods.
Mercury is the planet of communication. It is a silver energy that is adept at changing states from solid to fluid and back again in the blink of an eye.

Mental stimulus will be high over the next few days and so will be the need to unwind at the end of the day.
There is an open channel for communication with your guides through meditation, singing and dancing.
Get ready to receive sudden flashes of insight. Be open to change and keep a sense of humour handy and you can enjoy this quirky, dynamic and even fizzy energy to the maximum.

Full Moon - Taurus - 2 November
10 degrees Taurus/Scorpio
Taurus is all about natural abundance - it is the green energy that flows through us bringing health, wealth and happiness. At this time of year, the seeds planted after harvest settle in deep below the surface full of potential and holding the promise of new life in the springtime.
We also face the on-coming winter with the knowledge that, in time, the warmth and comfort of the sun will return and new life will grow.
At Full Moon, the sun is opposite the moon. The sun in Scorpio takes us into our darker side. Psychologically this can be a challenging but an ultimately necessary and deeply rewarding process. If we can face up to our hidden selves, our fears and our doubts, our harmful habits and self deception, shining a light of truth into the darkest recesses of our souls, the Taurus full moon can renew our faith and restore the natural balance in our lives.
We will always have enough. We will always be provided for. And the wheel turns.....
November Climate
October saw a welcome wave of fresh energy, opportunity and optimism flood in as Jupiter turned direct mid month.November adds to the celebration with Neptune direct from 6th. Neptune is the planet which rules our spiritual health and our connections with our higher selves and guides.
Both are in Aquarius. Chiron is there too bringing fundamental healing to the mix.
This mighty trinity will come together next month (more details in December Climate), but for now if we concentrate our energies on elevation, there are no limits to the heights we can reach. Aquarius knows that the whole is bigger than the sum of its parts. Holistic group work is strongly favoured at this time and altruistic goals will be blessed.
Operating with the highest possible motivations, Neptune brings an all encompassing sense of joy and serenity to our lives once we are on the right path.
At 23 degrees, the sparks that were flying around at the Aries full moon (4th October) can ignite our sense of higher purpose and inspire us on to achieve greatness.
Saturn moved into Libra on 31st October and thus begins a new 2.5 year cycle. In Virgo, Saturn brought us lessons of restricted resources, environmental responsibility and necessary change to established structures.
Saturn in Libra will concentrate on correcting imbalance, compromise, diplomacy, and mutual partnership. This is a much gentler place for Saturn to be. However, with a square aspect to Pluto all month, the pressure isn't off just yet as our outdated establishment systems continue to get a total overhaul.
This is a wonderful month to transcend our former, smaller selves and explore the bigger possibilities of our existence.

September 23rd 2009
Astrology of OctoberAs we enter October the tensions and confusion of September's astrological aspects begin to fade and a sense of balance is restored.
This is a much calmer month offering clearer communication and greater prospects all around.
We will also start to feel the gentle pull of Pluto's transformational energy which turned to direct motion last month.
Sun, Venus and Mercury in LibraLibra is the sign of the scales: each scale holding the equal and opposite to the other:
Light and Dark, Outer and Inner, Self and Others, Separation and Connection; Libra is all about finding the perfect balance.
With the Sun, Venus and Mercury in Libra, harmony and artistic expression are strongly favoured this month bringing both pleasure and enlightenment.
As the nights draw in turning inwards will help us to rediscover the peace and beauty within us.
Jupiter DirectThe main event this month is that Jupiter turns direct on 14th October. Jupiter is the planet of prosperity, expansion and luck and is known for removing the obstacles blocking our success.
Over the summer Jupiter's slowdown has given us time to reflect on what we want to achieve and a chance to revise our plans.
Jupiter's return to full strength means that some of the projects we tried to initiate in the Spring but that fell by the wayside, will reappear. What Jupiter promises now is far more than we originally imagined - bigger, better and stronger.
The message is to visualize clearly and then to release, as the bigger picture of Jupiter's tour of Aquarius in 2009 is one of complete surrender.
So, when the pace picks up, instead of forcing things forward with our will, trusting higher wisdom will bring phenomenal results.
Jupiter trines Mercury and Venus during the phase showing us glimpses of the beautiful and harmonious future we can co-create.
Aries Full Moon on 4th OctoberThe impulsive, fiery Full Moon in Aries opposes the elegant, creative Sun in Libra.
All full moons are about finding the blend in two differing energies.
Aries talks of will, ego, self, passion, drive, primal power and the now.
Libra revels in our relationship with others, compromise, compassion, togetherness, diplomacy, sharing and creating a joint future.
Fundamentally where Aries represents separation, Libra represents connection.
The blend of these energies is Equality. The vibration of this full moon is one of realignment and reconnection, of mending or strengthening our connection to others and with source, realizing we are one, we are all, and we are equal.

August 22nd 2009
September is a busy month with some complex planetary energy.
The Full Moon in Pisces on 4th September is a wonderful time to listen to your intuition. Meditation can bring great insight at this time and will help you to navigate through the confusing but none-the-less intriguing days ahead.
Pisces is the sign of far thinking, deep empathy and profound realizations. The power of Neptune extends from the deepest ocean to the furthest reaches of our solar system and calls us to explore our higher selves. Tune in with curiosity and an open mind and let your consciousness expand.
There are no limits. We are all connected and supported under the dreamy, expansive Pisces moon. The New Moon in Virgo on 18th September may be a little swamped by all the other activity around this month. It normally acts as a call to action. Back to school, back to work, back to the more serious side of life's duties. Hard work reaps rewards and this is also a time to consider future harvests. New moons are a wonderful time to begin new projects and start new regimes. You will reap what you sew if you put your energy into the day-to-day necessities that count towards a bigger goal. At least usually this would be the case. With the Mercury retrograde aspect in full swing however, starting new projects is not recommended just yet. The power of this new moon would be better harnessed to be thankful for what you have harvested from last year and complete work that you have already started. October is a better time to put your plans into action.
Saturn opposition Uranus
September's headline event is the third opposition of Saturn and Uranus.
Saturn represents the old established order, restriction, structure and challenges. Saturn in Virgo calls us to explore our usefulness and contribution to the world's daily affairs.
Uranus represents radical new thinking, breaking down outdated behaviours and swift modernization. Uranus in Pisces heralds a time for society to work together towards the biggest of all goals - embracing our collective consciousness for the benefit of all humanity.
An opposition is a time where the two planetary energies both compete in a power struggle. They both compliment and contradict each other at the same time.Depending on the placement of these planets in your personal chart, the push and pull of Saturn/Uranus will manifest in specific areas of your life - home vs work, self vs relationships, self doubt vs personal growth. The lesson will either be to find a way to marry the opposing forces within ourselves, creating a new blend that we can live with, or the push and pull will be a more active force where the resulting friction will cause necessary changes and events to occur which benefit our personal evolution.
We have felt this energy twice before - November 4th 2008 and February 5th 2009.
On September 15th we have the next episode in the unfolding saga. There is a slow building tension to this aspect which can be felt in the two weeks leading up to the 15th and slowly dissipates in the two weeks that follow. Therefore the effect will last for the whole month. These aspects are brought to us in order that we continue to develop and evolve. If we embrace the process we can learn a great deal about the world around us and our place in it; we can find our purpose.
Mercury Retrograde:
Mercury retrograde is one of the most infamous phases in Astrology.
Mercury, the planet of communication and mental alertness goes 'out of sync' 3 times a year for a period of roughly 3 weeks. When Mercury turns retrograde (appears to be traveling backwards on its orbit from our perspective on Earth) things can get a little confusing. Many consider on the 'negative' effects of this aspect such as disrupted travel plans, computer malfunctions and mis-communication in all its forms, but it is through these necessary interruptions to the norm and our ways of reacting to them that we can learn to see things in a different light.
There is a quizzical, sometimes surreal aspect to all this interference. Hidden messages and chance meetings are abundant at this time. Mercury retrograde shows us life through a different lens, breaking free of old preconceptions and finding fresh perspective.
This time Mercury is retrograde in Libra so the emphasis will be on in the realms ruled by Venus - mainly our connection to others and creative expression. If you are born with Mercury retrograde in your chart you will have the advantage this month. When the rational world is making little sense, it can be a wonderful time to tune into your higher self and improve your intuition especially during the Pisces Full Moon on the 4th & 5th.
Pluto direct in Capricorn
Pluto entered Capricorn at the very end of last year and will stay in this sign for the next 16 years. During this time Pluto spends roughly 6 months every year in retrograde motion (appears to be traveling back on its orbit as viewed from Earth). A retrograde planet looses some of its power and allows us time to revisit parts of our lives that need revising and rebuilding. From mid September Pluto will turn direct again on its orbit which signifies a time when we can once again start to make progress with our biggest life projects. The outer planets influence society as a whole and Pluto in Capricorn is responsible for the complete breakdown and redevelopment of society and its systems. Recent changes in the financial and political arena's fall under this influence. This is a long and necessary process.
Personally, Pluto brings us deep healing and fundamental transformation and is a vital part of the shift that many of us are already starting to feel, the effects of which will last for lifetimes to come.

August 6th 2009
Aquarius is a complex composite of all the elements
Fire - Many assume that the zig-zag lines of the symbol for Aquarius are water as Aquarius is the Water Bearer, but they actually represent electricity.
Earth & Water - The Water Bearer is often depicted with one foot on land and the other in water, effortlessly bridging both worlds.
Air & Ether - Aquarius is an Air sign yet it would be truer to call it the sign of the ether and the universe.Aquarius is where all the action is this year.
Eclipses
Never before has the phrase 'expect the unexpected' been more appropriate than it is today. As a series of eclipses in Aquarius/Leo come to an end after a two year reign, we are left feeling a little shaken.
The electric energy of Aquarius can illuminate us or send shockwaves though our very being. Eclipses can strike like lightening. Flashes of inspiration are likely to hit you like bolts from the blue.
As the Universe expands and new information becomes available to us this is a time to tune in, to listen, to go with the flow.Uranus - breaking the boundaries
Aquarius is ruled by the planet Uranus. Breaking old boundaries and beliefs, this planet likes to shake us out of our mundane existence and shine a light on new possibilities. The human condition is due for an overhaul. As Uranus opposes Saturn for the 3rd time in September, we are once again reminded of the need to break free from outdated constraints and to see the world through brave new eyes.Major Planetary activity
There are 3 planetary energies at play in this sign all year all at a positive angle to Uranus.Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion.
Neptune, the planet of the higher self and expression of our biggest dreams.
Chiron, the healer, activating our deepest potential to heal ourselves.A truly exceptional cosmic line up in Aquarius ushers in a new dawn. Consciousness is re-aligning: Spirituality, Science and Society transforming.
This is the Party of the Age of Aquarius and 2009 lights the candle on the cake.
Make a wish and make it big - this is just the beginning......- Tagged with : Astrology
