> As per the Ayurvedic seasonal changes, this is the period of accumulation of the Fire element known as Pitta. Thus fruits like grapes, mangoes and pears are beneficial to the body and mind.
To have the best benefits of these fruits they should be sweet and at room temperature, as these soothe the Fire element and do not help it to aggravate in the coming months.
> The time now as per Ayurvedic principles is of aggravation of Vata which is a combination of Air and Space elements. These are very cold in nature, and hence it is normal for us to observe sleep disturbances and increase in already existing pains and aches of various origins.
To keep this to bare minimum water should be always be taken lukewarm or warm helping you to minimise the cold property of Vata and also keep away from hay fever symptoms.
> If there are symptoms like runny nose and watery eyes etc., dry Turmeric and Ginger powder should be mixed in equal quantities and taken 1/4 tspoon 3-4 times in a day with warm water till symptoms persist.
Dry Turmeric and Ginger powder is excellent to control Vata (specifically Udana and Prana Vata located in the chest, throat, sinuses, eyes, ears and the brain) and clear the toxic Kapha (Water+ Earth elements) which the body tries to throw out in the form of phlegm.
